UNLV is a pretty big university. First time visitors might get overwhelmed with its size. Along with that, the university is attended by over 30,000 students. The university is only getting bigger. With so many building to look at, it is important to highlight the best looking buildings here in the university. Here are the top 5 hot spots of the university. Let’s get right into it.

5. The Student Union (SU)

Kicking off our list is the Student Union. This is the main location for getting food, club activities, or hanging out. You can get full meals, snacks, or drinks from the food vendors here. Many events are held in the ballrooms of the Student Union. You can hang out with your friends while in the game room or even while chilling in the seats. The exterior of the Student Union is modern and beautiful; perfect for a school like UNLV.

4. The Student Recreation and Wellness Center (SRWC)

Next on our list is the Student Recreation and Wellness Center, or SRWC. The SRWC is the campus gym and many students, faulty, and members of the community use it regularly. There is also a wellness center where students can visit doctors as well as an outdoor center where students can go explore nature. The outside is a marvel of modern architecture. The angles of the building give it a nice clean feel. The back glass round wall showcases the indoor pool and looks great at night. The SRWC is truly a beautiful building, making it earn the number 4 spot.

3. The Lied Library (LIB)

For the next building, we have the Lied Library. The Lied Library was opened in January 2001 and serves as the main library on campus. This houses more than 500 computers, over 3000 seating options, the tutoring center, the graduate commons, and the Lied Automated Storage and Retrieval (LASR) system. This library has 5 floors and is the largest building on campus. The library is a great place to study and students use the space everyday. The building has a giant glass window located in the front. Looking over the fifth floor, you can see the large space of the library.

2. Hospitality Building (HOS)

The number 2 spot is taken by the Hospitality Building. The Hospitality Building is the newest building here on campus, being completed January of 2018. The building was through the collaboration of the different businesses and corporations here in the valley. This houses the number 1 hospitality program in the world. The exterior of the building is truly unique and interesting. It is not a straight rectangular building but actually a building made of multiple angles and multiple rectangles. The Hospitality Building is located in the heart of campus and many individuals see the building while passing by every day.

1. Science and Engineering Building (SEB)

The number one best looking building here on campus is the Science and Engineering Building (SEB). The SEB, is one of the newer buildings on campus. It is used mainly for research and houses laboratories and teaching spaces. The exterior architecture is the best here on campus. The colors and shapes is visually appealing. Due to its location on campus, its beauty is not seen as much. This building is truly considered a hidden gem and deserves its number one spot.
