UNLV houses over 350 clubs and organizations here on campus. It is near impossible to see every single club here on campus, but allow me to showcase one organization. The REBELutionaries is an organization here in the university responsible for Rebel Dance Marathon.

Dance Marathon is a fundraising event full of dancing and games. The event can last the whole day and the whole time will have you moving your feet around. Patients from around the community are invited to Dance Marathon to share their stories and meet with fellow students in the event. Rebel Dance Marathon supports Children’s Miracle Network, an organization that helps raise money for children’s hospitals and medical research.

Chances are, if you are Vegas local who spent time volunteering for the community in high school, there was a possibility that you went to Dance Marathon. Now that you are leaving high school and entering college, the fun does not stop. Dance Marathon is an experience that is both fun and for the community.

My experience of Dance Marathon is a night that I can not forget. The event was non stop enjoyment for me. I was dancing around with my friend and I was moving my body in ways I did not think was possible. I also met new people at the event and found out they had similar interests as me.

With not many participants at the moment, Rebel Dance Marathon can grow bigger as an event and that starts with you!
