UNLV Dance Concerts

One of the greatest things about UNLV is the vast variety of things to go do. However, I cannot manage to write about them all in one post. So, I will just be introducing you to the UNLV dance department.

Now, I have never been a person who enjoys dance and I know many of you are probably the same. I would never have attended one of UNLV’s dance events had I not been dragged by my family. They are very fun (and would even make a great date activity!) and I wish more people knew about it.

On April 23, the dance department will be holding it’s next concert. This concert is a put on

by those who are majors in the Fine Arts college including those majoring in dance performance, choreography, and Production and Management.

I personally enjoying going to this event because it is super culturally diverse. The shows are not limited to just UNLV performers. Often, guest teacher and performers will join the college in the productions creating a very exciting opportunity for the audience. In short, it is a cool experience.

The event is also very inexpensive for students. Show tickets cost 10 dollars for students and 18 for everyone else. The school does offer various discounts for Veterans and staff. Students wanting to attend next year’s event can register online on the UNLV website, over the phone, or at the box office on campus on the day-of.

Overall, attending a dance department show is a great way to experience something new. College is all about expanding your mind and introducing yourself to new ways of thinking. The UNLV dance events are too often overlooked.

So grab a few friends, get your tickets, and go learn something new.
